The life expectancy of the seal and the sealing quality is also directly dependent upon the quality of the sealing surface.

We recommend the following surface finish.

Dynamic	0,2 ... 0,3 µm Ra (N3 ... N4)	0,2 ... 0,4 µm (N3 ... N5)
Static	0,3 ... 0,8 µm Ra (N4 ... N6)	0,4 ... 1,6 µm Ra (N5 ... N7)
Other non-sealing surfaces approximately 0,4 ... 6,3 µm Ra (depending on dimension)
